Surveys indicate that attendees' understanding of implicit bias was significantly greater after seeing this presentation. When asked to "name one action that you will take in your workplace/school/community based on this presentation," responses include:

  • As a trainer and facilitator, when I conduct classes, [I will] emphasize the different types of bias and microaggressions spoken about today

  • [I will] be more aware of my thoughts, as they may influence my actions and my words

  • As an African American woman and chief in the field of human resources who experiences [bias] daily in the workplace,  I will definitely stand up and speak out more

  • [I will] hire more people of color [and] people different from me and our current workforce.  [I will] also stand up more against off-color jokes

  • I will speak up for all, no matter the injustice

  • I will absolutely pause when I find myself thinking biased thoughts
