Assembly Programs on Bias, Bullying & Bystanders
Elementary School:  Grades K-5

"Sooz gave two very different grade-appropriate presentations--one for younger students and one for older.  Both were perfectly developmentally appropriate and engaging.  Her rapport with kids of all ages was extraordinary.  Her songs were well-written, fun, easy to learn and sing, with powerful messages that students need to stand up for themselves and each other. A wonderful experience!"
Kristina Littell, Co-CEO, Wissahickon Charter School
          Philadelphia, PA  (Grades K-8)

Grades K - 3
All songs for lower grades are interactive songs.

The themes include:

  • Celebrating Diversity:  Everyone Is Welcome Here!
  • Mutual Respect:  How Are We Different and the Same?
  • How to be an Ally:  Speak Out! No Silent Bystanders!

Each song is preceded by an introduction of the theme, and followed with a mini-discussion.  This age group is eager to join in, so there are lots of call-and-response sections, easy-to-learn lyrics and, when appropriate, hand motions to illustrate the lyrics.

Lyrics and Study Guides (including Vocabulary) for each song are provided, so teachers can deepen their students' learning experience with prep or follow-up materials.

I'll Speak Out  Be an Ally (not a Bystander) for one another!
Please Get to Know Me  ...before you decide what I'm like inside
Joanna's Kitchen  Diversity makes communities rich in culture!
Song for All Sizes  We are different yet alike in our humanity!

Grades 4 - 5
Programs for students in grades 4-5 are tailored for an audience more mature than K-3.  Listen to songs at right >>

Lyrics and Study Guides (including Vocabulary) for each song are provided, so teachers can deepn their students' learning experience with prep or follow-up materials.
